CPR--the
latest and most advanced technology in trainer resistance systems
4 to 3,000 Watts! (more resistance
range than any other trainer)
How the CPR works
When you begin to pedal your bicycle, the Friction Plate is resting
against the Roller Disk (see top photo-No Gap).
As you speed up, centrifugal force moves 3 steel balls outward,
moving the Friction Plate over towards the Friction Pad (see second photo-Gap). The faster you
pedal, the harder the Friction Plate presses against the Friction Pad
and the more resistance occurs. The 6 inch diameter friction pad
will never wear out and is guaranteed for life. The pad is made
from a clutch or brake-type material. The bottom photo shows
the Resistance Unit (CPR) disassembled.
Just like
riding outdoors, the faster you go, the harder it gets. This
simple design performs better than any other resistance system, for
the most realistic ride available. The CPR System is the quietest
system on any trainer with the longest coast-down in the industry.
The large 3 inch Roller provides the smoothest, quietest ride
available. Six angled cooling slots circulate air to cool the
unit. The 1up Trainer has a RC (resistance curve) adjustable
system. The RC System allows the rider to change the
resistance curve in the trainer (click on link below).
