1up CPR A-2000 vs. CycleOps Fluid 2

Head to Head which Trainer is BEST?

In this corner weighing in at 16 pounds in blue and silver is the 1up CPR A-2000 Trainer. In this corner weighing in at 19 pounds in black and silver is the CycleOps Fluid2 Trainer.

The 1up CPR A-2000 Trainer is constructed from anodized aluminum, and has no welds.

The CycleOps Fluid2 Trainer is constructed from steel, with welds, and is painted black.
The 1up CPR A-2000 Trainer uses the latest patented Centrifugal Pressure Resistance system technology (CPR) with a resistance range from 4 to 3000 watts. No oil to leak out                      The CycleOps Fluid2 Trainer uses a fluid resistance system with a resistance range from 20 to 1500 watts. WARNING: Fluid trainers can leak oil.
The 1up CPR A-2000 Trainer has a 3" diameter roller for the quietest ride of any trainer.  Large rollers are quiet with little tire wear. The CycleOps Fluid2 Trainer has a 2" diameter roller. Smaller rollers cause more tire wear, and create more noise.

The 1up CPR A-2000 Trainer has 6.5 pounds of rotating weight, most of any trainer. The flywheel is 6 inches in diameter.

The CycleOps Fluid2 Trainer has 3 pounds of rotating weight. The flywheel is 5 inches in diameter.

The 1up CPR A-2000 Trainer has the smoothest ride of any trainer, with the longest coast-down of any trainer.

The CycleOps Fluid2 Trainer has only 3 seconds of coast-down. This short coast-down creates a uneven ride.
The 1up CPR A-2000 Trainer has a foot operated quick release for hands free operation, with a compact folding handle. The CycleOps Fluid2 Trainer has a hand operated quick release that does not fold. You have only one hand to hold your bike up.

The 1up CPR A-2000 Trainer has 14 different vertical positions to chose from and will accommodate 16 to 29" wheels.

The CycleOps Fluid2 Trainer has no vertical adjustment, and can only be used with large wheels (26" and 700C).
The 1up CPR A-2000 Trainer has telescoping front legs with 3.1 inches of travel.  This allows the user to raze or lower the rear wheel so it is close to the floor for level training.  The Front legs lock into place to prevent accidental collapse.  To fold the Front Legs just push the spring-loaded release button. The CycleOps Fluid2 Trainer does not have this important feature. A riser block under the front wheel must be used for level training. Riser blocks must be purchased, around $16. The Front legs do not lock into place and can accidentally collapse.
The 1up CPR A-2000 Trainer comes fully assembled and ready to use. The CycleOps Fluid2 Trainer must be assembled, (tools required).
The 1up CPR A-2000 Trainer folds down to only 6 inches thick for compact storage.  The trainer will fit back into its own box. The CycleOps Fluid2 Trainer when folded is 12 inches thick. You can toss the box it came in, you now need a much bigger box.
The 1up CPR A-2000 Trainer is proudly designed, manufactured and assembled in the U.S.A. 100% The CycleOps Fluid2 Trainer is made in China.
The 1up CPR A-2000 Trainer are built tough and guaranteed for life. If anything breaks or wears out, we will replace it for free...for life! The CycleOps Fluid2 Trainer has a limited warranty that applies to the original owner only. Worn parts are not covered.
